How to get notified for new comics!

Hello, friends!
I’ll try to make this post as short and organized as possible. So here are the best ways to keep up with Side Quested (and even other comics!!):

1) RSS Feed

If you want to know what is RSS, you can check its Wikipedia entry. But it’s basically a way old people (like me) used to get notifications from various blogs and news sites on the begining of the internet, long before social media was a thing.

Basically, is a file that the blog/news site provides with its updates that notifies a RSS reader, and by doing so, lets the user knows there’s a news post published.

To be notified by RSS, all you need is a RSS reader. I use this Chrome extension called Feeder, that adds this tiny cute button on the top of my browser and shows me that there are new comics to read.

There are a lot of option of RSS readers, most of them for free (but some paid ones are worth the trouble, with really cool tools). To add a site (or a comic!) all you have to do is access the site and click on the “+” icon that the reader will give you and you’re set.

And this is just the desktop browser solution, you can do that with apps on your phone that can read RSS.

Come join the old side of the internet. We have cookies (we baked it ourselves!).

2) Tapas and Webtoons

If you haven’t heard about the biggest webtoons platforms yet, you’re absolutely just missing out. Webtoons and Tapas make available thousand of free (and paid) webcomics and webtoons for your delight to read on your desktop browser or on mobile, on their app.

And that’s the cool thing: if you install the app on yout phone and subscribe to the series, you can set it to get notifications every time there’s new comics to read.

Side Quested is being mirrored on both platforms, getting updates on the same day and time that the comics are published here on the main site. So you can subscribe on Webtoons or on Tapas to get your app notifications and you’re set!!

3) Patreon

Yes, I know, you have to pay to get access to Patreon.

BUT HEAR ME OUT! if you become a patreon, you can get EARLY access to the next comic, see some backstage process of how the comic is created, and even get high resolution art. I also keep making some jokes and games with the patreons, so it’s really fun.

AND, now this is very important, it’s actually super cheap! The first tier is €1!

Patreons can get notified for new updates both on the Patreon app and on their emails, immediatly after the post is published. It’s really cool, I swear!

4) Twitter

Since me and K.B. tend to do a LOT of shitposting, following us to get news from the comics may be tiresome for some of you. That’s why we made an exclusive Twitter account for Side Quested, where you’ll only get news from the comics. I did an automated thingy where every time there’s news here on the main site, the twitter gets a hit. So if you’re active there, following us can be an easy option to get some notification. 🙂

5) Bonus: The most unupdated newsletter ever made!

When the crazy white man with the eletric cars company was threatening to buy twitter, we got kinda scared and decided to make a newsletter to let people know when the comic was going to be online. After that, we decided to keep the thing for when we had some big announcements to make.

And when I say BIG annoucements, I really mean it: we won’t bother anyone with weekly empty newsletters: you’ll just get something from us there when we have any BIG news to share. Seriously.

So this is definitly not an option to know when there’s new comic up, but if we get a prize or something like this, you’ll be the first to know. 😉

And that’s it. Hope this helps!
kthxbyeeee!
