Hello, dear readers!
As some of you already know from our Discord server, when me and KB were doing the full revisions for Side Quested’s Book 1, we ended up fixing a lot of issues from the begining of the comic.
Most of them were just some art choices I did at the start of the comic and ended up changing my mind afterwards, like the gradient backgrounds and the yellow speech bubbles (page 08):
At some very specific pages, I found myself needing to do some serious redesign because of reading order reasons. Like this one that I flipped the whole panel to have a better reading sequence (Page 120):
But besides these visual updates, there was one that was an actual… plot hole.
When Robin and Charlie are flying on Babs to meet Boopsie, Robin knitts a new magic scarf for Charlie from one that she was knitting to herself originally. The magic goes wonky and there’s some explanation about how magic works in this world.
The problem is that later on we realised that Robin is the daughter of the WICKED WITCH QUEEN, she HAD to know more about magic than that. Enough that when Charlie tries her first spell at the DeepSea Castle, Robin is the one that helps out.
So we did this little changes here on pages 136 and 137:
As you can see, it’s not that huge of a change, but as I said on Discord when I asked the readers there if I should fix it or not, I don’t want to gaslight anyone saying the mistake didn’t exist.
If you want to make some comparison, or want to read the updated version of the whole comic up to the last update, I changed ALL THE PAGES on Tapas.
Yes. Yes I did. Sue me.
I did not update them at the Main site or Patreon because it was just way, WAY too much more trouble. I may do it in the future, though, if I find out how to do it without compromising my health.
